Kat, better known as C-Angel, is an introverted trans girl who finds freedom and gender euphoria online, as a bubbly, extraverted Vtube streamer. Following a chance encounter online with her favourite streamer, the coolheaded Twila (known in real life as an artistic indie rocker named Luna), the two begin a relationship that intersects digital and physical lives.
A bittersweet snapshot of their mutual moment of transition, through each other they discover, liberate, and explore their perspectives on femininity, parasocial relationships and expectations, and the many different masks young queer people wear both online and in real life.

This show is an in-development piece whose first draft received a staged reading in partnership with Dead Name Theatre in December 2024. This project was partly written through Nightwood Theatre’s Creatryx in Spring 2024 facilitated by Jade Silman, Andrea Donaldson, Sedina Fiati, and Keshia Palm.
This play reading is presented as part of SummerWorks’ Accessibility & Community Wellness Program, generously funded by Aubrey & Marla Dan Foundation.
*This performance is designated as both a Risk-Conscious and Relaxed Performance. During Risk-Conscious Performances, all audience members are required to wear face masks or coverings in the theatre at all times.
*An Active Listener will be present and available to support audience members during and after the performance.
Content: Discussions/allusions of transphobia and racial fetishization, mild profanity, allusion and reference to sex, mental health discussions + allusions (insomnia, hormone/pill withdrawal).
