The ghosts of Mengkkongee (digging frog), Sancheoneo (Cherry Salmon), a Butterfly and a Canadian Goose arrive at the River Styx. They chat about the choir of 80,00 digging frogs, the exhilarating current towards the ocean, metamorphosis, formations in the sky, and about the sound of waterfalls that travel 5000 kilometers in the sky.

Baram Company brings The Ghosts Chat: stories told from ghosts, whose vibrant lives have been interrupted in the name of human joy— inviting the question:

“What is a Festival?”

//

Premiering at the SummerWorks Performance Festival (The Ghosts Chat / 유령들의 대화 by Baram Company in 2025 -and- Festivals are Strange, Eerie, and Overwhelming by Emily Jung and Theresa Cutknife in 2026) — this is one of two plays within a multi-year international collaboration between Baram Company, Emily Jung, and Theresa Cutknife.
