Rudy Ray, an exceptional trumpet player, leads the Rudy Ray Trio Band with his dynamic and soulful performances. Known for his expressive tone and virtuosic technique, Rudy captivates audiences with his unique interpretations of gypsy jazz. The trio features two talented guitarists who complement Rudy’s trumpet with their intricate rhythms and melodic solos. Together, they create a rich and vibrant sound that brings new life to gypsy jazz classics. Join us on The Esplanade, for this exhilarating and unforgettable musical experience.

Rudy Ray & Co. is presented as part of a double-bill performance with Surrendered Spirits.*

*This double bill will also feature a special performance by Kenyan contemporary dancer and choreographer, Maulid Owino. He will present a short solo work entitled Sudden Moments, as well as a structured improvisational duet with Canadian choreographer/performer, Nickeshia Garrick.
