Through the art of Ballroom, one’s passion, soul, and light is revealed.

Three Ballroom artists from across Canada – Matthew Cuff aka Legendary Snoopy 007 (Toronto), ivy hazard aka Mother Ivy Andromeda 007 (Vancouver), and Chéline Lacroix aka Mother Raven Louboutin Milan (Montréal) – meet for the first time, to share their curiosities, moving Ballroom culture off the runway and into the theatre space.

This evening of performance shows that Ballroom, Too has significant cultural value and impact, which should warrant access to spaces, resources and support, in the same ways as other artistic communities. These three artists/leaders from different Ballroom scenes explore their respective categories, as they create new connections with each other and experiment with their individual artistic practices.

“Who are we, and how are the ways we present ourselves part of the larger picture of our identity, even if part of it feels faked or forced? Can the inner creatures we keep tucked away come out to play when we give in to the sublime and detach ourselves from the idea of humanity? These are all questions Bizarre asks us to embody, and I want to create looks to be displayed that explore the elements that go into this layer by layer.”
