What’s New

Now in its 26th year, SummerWorks is ever-evolving. This year is one of our largest SummerWorks ever, with 69 projects involved in the Festival, plus events and workshops. As the work in the festival becomes increasingly interdisciplinary we’ve chosen to list the works alphabetically, as opposed to by genre. We hope this leads you to discover works and artists you may not have otherwise come to see.

We’re also excited to have two new venues join the SummerWorks community. This year work will be featured at Artscape Sandbox and at The Drake Hotel.

There are some new facets to our programming. The SummerWorks Leadership Intensive Program (S.L.I.P.) opens to intersect with the wider community with a series of free and public events investigating the future of arts and culture leadership.

This year our SummerWorks Lab expands to encompass works in development by two companies that will receive residency hours in our main venues during the festival, culminating in a public showing.

At SummerWorks we’re all about process. We’re currently developing a SummerWorks app, and we want you to be a part of it. In this initial version you’ll be able to search performances, build your own schedule, and receive notifications about pop up events and ticket deals. Download the app on the Apple Store or Google Play and give us your feedback!
