Dans un petit village de pêcheurs, une jeune femme observe sa sœur entamer une romance fantastique qui frôle la folie.

In a small fishing village, a young woman watches as her sister pursues a mystical love while torn between perceptions, beliefs and expectations.

For 16 years, SummerWorks has been showcasing young artists by presenting work from the Sears Ontario Drama Festival Toronto regional finals. One student-written play is chosen to receive a play workshop reading with a professional director and actors. This year’s winning play is Selkie by Isabelle Hinch.

Isabelle Hinch is a senior and honour student at l’École secondaire catholique l’Essor in Tecumseh, Ontario. Her mother being a drama teacher, Isabelle practically grew up on stage and in the wings. Since the age of seven Isabelle has played in a wide variety of school and community theatre projects. Part of a class project, Selkie is her first attempt at play writing. Isabelle will be pursuing an Honours degree in Arts and Science at the University of Windsor.
