Double Bill with /vərˈbādəm/.
noyé/e/ appears first, in the Factory Theatre Rehearsal Hall, followed by /vərˈbādəm/ in the Factory Theatre Mainspace.
He sleeps, she dances, they sing, they create, they forget. Exploring the audience-performer relationship through movement, noyé/e/ asks how much you need to give to an audience in order for them to become interested in the smallest details of the performers in front of them.
Inspired by research from Facets — a collaborative work with choreographer and performer Tedd Robinson — this work distorts time and plays with proximity to create a full body awareness of the people on stage. It asks you to awaken your desire to come closer and gives you the power to explore ideas and live in a space with the two human beings on stage.
Created by Simon Renaud; Developed and Performed by Joanie Audet and Simon Renaud; Special Thanks to Tedd Robinson, Angie Cheng, James Gnam, Ame Henderson, Riley Sims, Charles Quevillon and Claire Duguay.
"I revere the simplicity, space and quiet of this work. Simon works his choices with fastidious economy. Everything is important, yet nothing is sacred. Allow yourself room to breathe in this work and the expansive spaces of the in-betweens." - Jenn Goodwin
