We are sad to announce that the Festival and the artistic team of Bodies of Water have come to the joint decision to cancel all performances at this year’s SummerWorks.

Unexpected last minute challenges posed by our venue at the Trinity Bellwoods Community Centre proved an insurmountable distraction from the important work of creating the piece. These new limitations imposed by the venue would have a detrimental impact on the audience experience and the artists’ vision for the work. Despite everyone’s best efforts to find an alternate location, it has proved impossible to deliver the project in a way that would do justice to the hard work and creative energies invested into it by the team. We know that many people in our city were looking forward to experiencing this innovative and ambitious project. Both SummerWorks and the artists remain strongly committed to the project and look forward to presenting it in the future.

If you have already purchased tickets, someone from our Patron Services team will be in touch soon to arrange a refund.
