Come and sort through our photo albums with them. Being the exact same age, just two days apart, we have lived parallel lives. We are getting together to compare landmark moments and what has propelled us to end up here, together, sharing our albums with you. For two days, we will work in endurance, but the show will be presented at hourly slots. Come to the first show and come to the last. Come and compare the landmark moments.
Sifting through the visual records we keep of our lives, long time collaborators Allison Cummings and Lyon Smith consider how these records have coloured the narratives from our past and the myths we’ve built from these fragments that comprise the albums of our life.
There will be dancing.
Sore for Punching You

"This long standing collaboration between Cummings and Smith explores everyday moments that make up a life. Magnifying the familiar to the uncanny through a visual archival methodology, we catch a striking glimpse of the inner workings, the tough, the beautiful, the nonsense and the unimaginable of daily life and the evidence we keep of its repercussions."
